Pay What You Choose
for Online Classes
You can help us keep moving.
Dear Moving Minds Community,
Have you been enjoying these videos each day? Have they been bringing joy and lightness to your week? I hope so! Putting them together certainly brightens my afternoons, although nothing can compare to being in the classroom with all my brilliant students.
I believe deeply in the importance of offering these resources for free. Dance needs to be accessible to everyone, especially in times like this. At the same time, it is important to acknowledge that or regular classes are the sole source of revenue for Moving Minds. Our business is fortunate to have an emergency fund that can help cover our expenses during this crisis, but it will only go so far.
So, I am asking those who are able to please show support for this unique program and community by offering a payment at a level of your choice in exchange for your child's online classes. MMD is not a non-profit, so this support would not be considered a tax-exempt donation, but rather a fair exchange for services. You get to decide what works for you, whether that's a $5 nod of appreciation, a $20 drop in class, or just an email or a text to say how much you and your littles enjoy tuning in.
If you able to maintain your regular work from home and want to support more, consider this: a four week session ($52) offers 180 minutes of instruction time. The videos posted in our first two weeks online total almost 150 minutes of instruction time! And over the next month, they'll keep coming. Contribution levels are also available for administrative and teaching hours if you want to directly support the hard work being done behind the scenes this month. I still spend 6-8 hours in the office every day drawing up next steps and dreaming big for the future of MMD.
I can't say enough how much I value being able to offer these lessons for free. I invite you to enjoy them as much as you'd like without any commitment beyond keeping your child engaged and dancing. But if you are called to support, it really would make all the difference in the world to the continued health of the organization.
This community is such a light for me- I dearly miss seeing all of you each week, sharing smiles and high-fives, hearing stories about the kids dancing at home, hearing their laughter and being inspired by their sense of play. I can't wait to see you all again in the classroom. Until then, take care, be well, and give huge hugs to whomever you can.
Love and good health,
Ms. Ciara
